some observations

Post by jacmar »

After playing a few league games, here are some observations...
1-In looking at the leaderboards, both leagues are combined. Is there any way to separate them?
2-When the pitcher bats late in the game, how can you tell how many pitchers he has thrown? Im not talking about the pitcher that is pitching. This refers to a pitcher who is scheduled to bat.
3-Is there any way to see a box score while a game is in progress?

I noticed that when viewing team totals, you get a listing of every player, but not a total for the entire team. Also, when looking at stats for an association, there is no breakdown of the two leagues. All stats have the national league leaders and american league leaders combined. Is there any way to break down the stats by league?

I am hoping there is a way to break down the stat reports based on league. I am playing out the 1986 season, and when looking at the leaders, both leagues are combined. That is a nice addition, but shouldnt be the only option. I would like to see how my players are doing compared with the players in their own league. Is there any way I can breakdown the stats to show American League leaders and National league leaders? Thanks.

Thanks...I will check it out. I dont know if you have seen some of my other comments. I have been playing sims dating back to the old Microleague Baseball and Lance Haffner games. I am liking your game a great deal. A couple of the issues I have are as follows...
When a pitcher is scheduled to bat late in a game, I want to see how many pitches he has thrown up to that point. I have not found that anywhere. Am I missing it, or is it just not posted? I am not talking about the pithers box that shows the pitch count. I am refering to a team who is up at bat and that pitcher is scheduled to hit.
When looking at team totals, I dont see the grand total for the team. I just see the totals for all the individual players. For example. I am playing out the 1986 season. I have played a full week, and wanted to see my players stats. When I look at the team stats, all the players stats are there, but at the bottom, there is no line saying the totals for the team..
I can see you put a lot of work into this game. It is really a great game. The forum here is great, as everyone is so helpful. Keep up the great work...and thanks...

When the pitcher is scheduled to bat just hit lineup and the pitch count will be displayed on the playing field graphic that comes up under the pitchers name.
To see the grand total for the team you need to go to the Statistics Reports screen and check the team totals. Not sure how accurate the totals will be however, in the 2005 version the team totals reflected who was currently on your team so if you traded players the player you traded for totals would be added to your team totals and the player you traded totals would be subtracted. Not sure if this has been changed for the 2007 edition.

Thanks Jono....I have done the check on the team totals. It lists all the players on the team. What I dont see is a line under the last player listed, and then the grand totals for the team in each department. You can see that when looking at all teams in the league, but not when you are looking at your own players.
