Classic Ballpark Files (link attached)

Post by KG Erwin »

Here's 102 prk files, ranging from the 1890s to the present day. Jacmar, I provided this YouSendIt link for you, but for PadresFan, if you wanna put these on your site, be my guest.

Unzip this folder into your Pure Sim/mods folder. These files include the ones I use for my "Golden Age" association.

For the Golden Age parks, I don't think you need to tweak them. For the really old parks, maybe.

I dont know what I could be doing wrong. I downloaded them from the link you sent and it worked fine. I tried double clicking one of the park icons, but I got a message saying windows cant open this file. So the link worked, but I cant see the parks if I double click them..

No, man. You gotta use these within Pure Sim itself. Start the game, load an association, pick a team's front office, and then click ballpark. See the IMPORT button? That's where you can replace the default park for that team. Go to the folder where the prk files are, click on the one you want, and the game will put it in.

Like using alternate logos, it takes some practice, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty straightforward.

I apologize for not explaining the process to you earlier.

No, that's what the players are here for --to help each other out. Look, I've only had the game for a couple of years, so I'm still trying to get a grasp on all the subtleties, too.

Don't call yourself a dummy, OK? We're all baseball fans, and this is a wonderful game, so we're all in the same Field of Dreams. We might not all hear "the voice" yet, but once you do, you'll never be the same. [;)]

Al, I can't remember who created those pre-1910 prk files -- it wasn't me. I just collect all this stuff.

Same goes for the Classic Parks of the Golden Age. Please give credit to the Pure Sim community.

Thanks K.G. The Old ballparks really add a nice touch to the game. It almost makes one think the game was better back than 50's-60's. [;)]
