Limit the Number of Association Backups?

Is there a line of code in the user.xml or anywhere else that will allow us to limit the number of association backups Puresim will make before over writing them? Right now I have like 5 or 6 backup copies, and given that I'm running puresim on a laptop with limited HD space, I'd really only like to keep 1 or 2.
