I've still got High Command. I found it to be a mixed blessing. I enjoyed the political and production aspects of the game, but found the combat system to be something unlike any other game. It's a difficult game to get used to if you compare it to other games with well-defined front lines, etc. The simultaneous movement can make for very interesting situations, with the other guy's armies hooking round behind you while you are advancing. I also found a bug in the game whereby mech and armour would not move in Russia in winter turns.

I like High Command...in fact I'm still playing a couple of email games..Ones been going one for almost 2 years. The game definitely has some flaws, but if you're looking for a grand strategic game of Europe 1939 -1945 I think this is it. Its nice to control everything, political, production and combat. I get tired of fighting someone else's battles. Its also nice to try what if's. It would be great if these guys(Matrix) spruced it up like they've done to War in Russia and Steel Panthers.
