fuel

Post by karlikov »

hello boys ,I´m sorry but my english is very regular.Could anyone avoid me about not being out of fuel?. I have seen that in the firsts turns of the game fuel is expended at a rate of more or less 50000 per turn. Allies begin the game with about 6300000. According to this fuel will last over 120 days without counting refuel operations of the TFs.
Another question:What is the function of the buttons placed in the base information screen: "select x repair shipyard, select x resources, select x heavy industry ans select x manpower"? i have not found information about this in the game manual; and , at last ,¿What is oil used for? Advanced thanks from a spanish beginner

Hi there. Welcome to the game, I hope you'll enjoy it.

You will consume fuel at a rapid rate, however new fuel will arrive every day as the Allies. Worst case at times you will have to suspend operations, or delay operations, because of a fuel shortage, and you will have to stockpile it. For Japan this problem is very severe, and while there will always be fuel, many times there will not be enough. Mainly as Japan, but in the outlying bases as the Allies aswell, you will find that the fuel situation rather than the enemy may govern the use of your battleships.

The select resources, industry, manpower, and repair shipyard buttons, as well as oil, is not used at this time by WPO. There deal with production and allow the player to govern more of the economy of his side. However, currently, WPO does not take advantage of this, allowing the player to full concentrate on fighting the war. In the future scenarios may be made which will allow production, forcing the Japanese player to create a convoy system to transport oil back to Japan for conversion to fuel and industry points, which are then used as fuel for the fleet and to support the countries industry, which can affect production of aircraft and build times of ships.

West Coast alone produces 50,000 units of fuel a day. Within a few months, you'll have 999,999-ton stockpiles there.

Just remember to reinforce your Pacific bases with fuel from day one and en masse. Those TKs can be very slooooooooooooow.
