Question for Frank

Post by diesel7013 »

Frank,

Just a quick question because I know you don't have anything better to do! [:D]

Is there any long range plans to build another strategic level Civil War game? ( at one time I heard yes, but wonder what your thinking is now ) I still play ACW and would love to see something along those lines again ( Might be interested in Grigsby's take, but prefer yours )

I appreciate all your hard work and look forward to buying more of your products!

Best,

Scott

Yes, David bugs me about it now and then. The new RFSTA4 has a physical map 4x the size of the original. But the area between Richmond and Washington is doubled, the other half of the increase went into making the hexes bigger so that the counters could be more informative.

A lot of stuff in the game has been changed. I had a list of the changes that I would be making on my old website, I don't have that list handy at the moment, probably on a backup cd somewhere. I also had files of comments from the old forum board containing good ideas, even things like making all the city lists alphabetical :)

Suffice to say there is no chance of it being finished for at least 6 months after the ones I'm working on now.

I am really looking forward to RFSTA4 and I also hope that you still plan on developing Imperial Ambition. I think the period of German Unification has been woefully ignored and I truely think there is a demand for such a game.

diesel,

If you still play ACW, what version do you have and where might i find any late patches for the game?
I still love the game and hope Frank is able to get us a new one.
