Okay;
What are we going to do now that Terminus has hit 10,000? I am at a whopping 107. What to do? What to do?[:D]

There's a cat that just chewed on a speaker cable plugged into the hot slot of an outlet!

RE: The Thread!!!
As though we needed proof that Marines are crazy, I'm watching a show about an incident in the first Gulf War where five Marine Recon soldiers charged, on foot, an entire Iraqi armored battalion.
What's worse, the Marines sorta won.
(It confused the Iraqi's so much that they stopped, which gave the Marines time to call in air support. Which gave them enough cover to bug out while the fighter-bombers and choppers blew the *bleep* out of the tanks.)

Well, according to the top of the page, I am the only one here. I guess I will just talk to myself. It is 07:11 EDT and the rest of the family, including the dog, are still asleep. I guess I will just talk to myself. This is going somewhere.[:D][:D]

i wonder is this is where they used the (iirc) thing called a "SFW" (Sensor Fuzed Weapon).
This thing is something out of a sci-fi movie. The weapon project was cancelled over 100 times but they still managed to complete it.
You drop one of these things from a plane, and it can take out (up to) 40 tanks using some really amazing technology. They used exactly 2 of these in the war in one incident, and routed a large Iraqi armored formation. The 2 weapons fell on the front third of the Iraqi formation, devastating it. The other 2/3 of the Iraqis saw what happened and beat a hasty retreat. This was supposed used in a desperate (for US forces) circumstance (but i am not sure if Marines were involved).
RE: The Thread!!!
i haven't been able to find the exact circumstances of the attack - closest i've found is this:
" Combat proven on April 2, 2003 in Operation Iraqi Freedom, SFW took out multiple Iraqi tanks in a single pass."
iirc, the attack was in something like batallion strength, and an F-16 dropped the SFWs.

Re-reading the original post, it could not have been - the 5 Marines vs. a batallion was supposed to be in the FIRST Gulf War (1991), not in 2003.
