Nothing amazing but forced at least one split TF .. allies lost 2 IL4 and 2 wellingtons. with pilots, the chinese ones lost were very very bad anyway. the 'core' 70+exp ones are fine.

several ASW attackes of australia were inconclusive , no poiont posting the attacks but i 'may' have damaged the I10 enough to withdraw ( lots of near misses and ***** in the combat view)

still no clue as to japanese attentions for the near future, he has a lot of troops available and could invade india if he wants although it may well be costly and too late to make a decisive win for him. Timor will be a grind .. and so would PM with Lae being a complete wreck. noumea dn luganville look well as does the S Pac .. suva got a US cav brigade so the NZ brigade will garisson the next door hex so no free landings for him. He's very very light on troops in burma and if he commits heavily i may have a go at pagan and nearby tuang-gui. i can airlift in a LOT more infantry if needed here.

bye for now and happy to be back ! #

Welcome back Rob. Hope everything went well. [:)]

IMO if you kept most the SEA reinforcements there, India should be safe now. Unless he wants to dangerously weaken his garrisons elsewhere. I had an opponent bring 4-5 divs/equivalents to India in July & I mauled them.

If I were in his shoes, I'd be worried about Timor - you can start island hopping from there, particularly with P-38s 2 months off.

My overly-inflated two cents.

Good to see you back!

It looks like that Timor is still hurting him [:D] ...Any news what the damage to those Japanese CA ships are? ...or does your opponent still have any naval vessels left if the continues to operate this way [:D]

Aztez

the Ca's were scratched a bit, no guns knocked off ,, i was hopeing for a turret hit occasionally and the 1000lb's from a few b17's were near misses ( hull hits). He is not able to use any ships slower than 6 anymore after the BB Line was hurt in timor. no idea where KB is though. and i will have to bring back the CV's from Derby shortly for the oct refits .. might do them in australia as i have some AR's in theatre now.

CTangus

Im just paranoid about india really .. all SEA units are in india and not in burma for now, I'm pulling out a chinese div from mandalay for rest and refit too. to LOTS of troops in the chabndpur/DH area. Madras has full div too. every base on the east india coast has at least some defenders so no freebie landings. Timor i think will remain in allied hands but as you said i need P38's however nik nerfed the replacement rates[;)] and i cant train them anywhere either so he still has a big numerical and experiance advantage.

thanks for the welcome back .. glad to be home

CA Mikuma
CA Aoba, Bomb hits 1 ( knocked a gun off )
CA Kumano
CL Isuzu, on fire

no allied losses.

OK overview time .. as its been a while since my last post here ..

Strarting in burma :

Its very quiet .. japanese fighter cover over pagan and rangoon prevent any offensive
missions. one new development is the arrival of at least 2 jap subs off DH and chandpur.
experience 80+ wellingtons sent on ASW duty ( might be interesting )

Only othet thing is i have started to prep a few ground troops for N sumatra (sabang) which is
still allied for now . possible future airbase .

china

Dead quiet bar japanese a/c training programmes . RAF cannot interfere as previous
losses were unacceptable. and no real need as china land war is a complete stalemate.

DEI ( basically Timor and N aus now )

again been quiet .. sent in some dakotas to koepnag to fly out the rest of a dutch BF
to Mumba, as a response to his invasion of FLores .. Flores looks like a good allied
fighter training ground for later ,once i can contest the skies over timor with a modicum
of success.

NG and E australia.

CV hornet .. sailing to sydney under heavy DD escort ( with 4 AR's ) .. Sydney and melbourne
are the allied repair bases here ( need some more AR's for melbourne) .. 4 more AR's arrived
at the west coast today for transfer through the pacific.

See piccie.

PM seems little threatened and 90% of supplys arrive intact. Gili gili is under attack from
b17's and the marina paras are heading to australia to lead a counter invasion soon ( i.e 1-2 months)

SW Pac ..

Quiet again .. I am buinding up the entirity of new caledonia ( ie noumea is) to fort 9's in all 3 bases .. the noumea inf are out and about helping the engineers as i do no expect a direct
invasion of noumeo itself at all. Luganville and efate are well mined and luganville is well defended. Efate has 2 small raider units .

S Pac ..

again .. just juggling the seebees and EAB's , while bombing baker is to the stone age . 4 DM's are
helping to build up mine belts on all occipied bases.

C Pac .. nowt .. small (2DM) mine laying tops/up repairs mine fields at johnson/midway/palmyra.

NPAC

building up on plan .. 1st airfields , then ports and forts .. all bases have an RCT so no
japanese walkovers. supply is a bit low ( i.e no massive stockpiles) but perfectaly acceptable
and in the green everywhere.

W Coast

4 days i get a new Div .. hoorah .. now ,, where to send it ? no need defensively as far as i can see. maybe a long trip round to the DEI for future ops ( i think this will be my future main
axis of advance)

all in all .. quiet ..

lets hope the tempo picks up a bit so i dont have to bore you with minutae [;)]
