Of course, if you want to buy one now, and give your comp copy to a friend, I'll not stop you...[;)]
RE: TOAW III Released!
First Post^H^H^H^H View !! Erik, Check the weblogs! I have views #1 and #2 of http://www.matrixgames.com/news.asp?nid=316 at 10 p.m. East Cost time. This is very odd, because I was just talking to an instructor at the Army's School of Command Prep about this game tonight after he asked, "Is there anything out there like that old game TOAW?". [:)] Talk about timing!

RE: TOAW III Released!
DAMN how cool is this?!?!?!?
I'm sorry if the question has already been asked. If you buy the digital download, is the boxed version included in the price when it is ready?

I did. Thanks. However, I try to calculate a price for my frustration
From the other side, I'm going for holidays at June 20th. Including Football (Soccer) Championship to the equation, as well as a lot of professional duties, the delay is probably the only way to stop me before a compromitation [8|]. Ralph - please, give my the composite units!

No, the boxed version is an extra $10 as an option. If you know that you'll want both, wait about a week before ordering and the Digital + Physical option as well as the Physical Only option will show up in the store. Those will both run about $49.99 US.

Yeah… when will the physical shipment be ready?
I'm expecting five business days, possibly four, for those options to show up in the store. I'll post here as soon as they are there.

RE: TOAW III Released!
When I ordered the download, the physical version wasn't available. How can it be added?

RE: TOAW III Released!
I'm sorry, Richrd, we have no current capability to do that. Much as we would want to, it isn't logistically possible in our store.

RE: TOAW III Released!
Forgive probably a dumb question... Is there any disadvantage in getting the download copy compared to the physical copy?
First there is a mountain, then there is no mountain, then there is.
RE: TOAW III Released!
I'm also interested in if the physical copy includes a hardcopy of the manual or is it just a CD?
Can the download copy just overwrite a current installed version or do you need to remove old versions first?

Unless a printed manual is provided (as in GGWAW's store release), I can't see any disadvantage. I buy virtually ALL my games via direct download.

I believe that there are no plans to include a printed manual in the physical copy. You can, of course, print your own, from the PDF version of the manual that ships with the product.ORIGINAL: pbhawkins

Do you mean previous versions of TOAW, for example Century of Warfare and earlier versions? If so, they can coexist on your computer. Matrix Games' version installs into a completely separate directory than any of the Talonsoft titles.ORIGINAL: pbhawkins

RE: TOAW III Released!
Thanks Jamiam,
Yes I have ACOW installed.
I guess there is little point in keeping it or TOAW1 or 2 about now?
Also little point in copying any aftermarket scenarios to TOAW3 as they will perhaps not be compatible?

RE: TOAW III Released!
Especially if you have current games going on, I would recommend keeping CoW installed and finish out your games on that.ORIGINAL: pbhawkins

Only if you want to have it to give that old Win95 box you've got in your garage something to do...[:D]ORIGINAL: pbhawkins

If the scenarios in question are for CoW, and for some reason or another, we did not include them in TOAW III, then you can load them into the TOAW III scenario editor, and then save the scenario. This will convert it to a "TOAW III" scenario. Be warned that we discovered a bug in CoW, in that scenarios which were converted to Opart 300, from Opart, were missing data in some of the event fields. Those originally designed under Opart 300, from scratch, did not suffer the effects of the bug.ORIGINAL: pbhawkins
