My occasional fear of digital download is regarding the safety of the game files: say goodbye if there's a HD problem. I'd only download a game if I could copy the file to CD, and even then sometimes data recorded onto burnt CDs corrupts after a year or two, particularly cheap CD-Rs.

By our license agreement you're granted the right to burn one personal backup copy to either CD or DVD or the backup medium of your choice. The quality of the bakcup medium is of course completly in your hands [;)]

In the case of a complete loss of Hd data or else our support team can still work it out for you, that is the case if you have proof or purchase. That is why we recommend to print out all your purchase information and keep it at a safe place, just like you would do with any other "normal" receipt that you get.

I did download GGWAW from Matrix while I was at work (I don't have a CD-R at home), and burnt it to CD there . [:)] It's the quality of the CDs that worried me. [;)]

While having HTTR and COTA bundled would be nice, I am going to get COTA when its available.

I will get HTTR at a later date. Good wargames are worth every penny.

I have used the digital download for War Plan Orange and Across the Dnepr and can thoroughly recommend them. Especially with the findmyorder option. As well I have the games backed up on DVD, just as well as I had to rebuild my computer after a motherboard failure, luckily not a Hard Drive failure.

Now I have a computer that runs my games very smoothly. Some things are meant to be.

Yeah, maybe I'll just get COTA first (unless Matrix has something to say [&:]).

I might get HTTR some time later on via NWS if I ever feel the need, though going COTA --> HTTR would mean losing out on all the new features that COTA'll have spoiled me with [:D]. We'll see.

If you dig around and are lucky enough to find a copy of HTTR at your local Gamestop, they're only getting $9.99 for it :).

And when I took the $9.99 box up to the cash register, I was informed that the price was actually only $5!

Yahoo... now that's a bargain!

Just bought COTA so bundling isn't necessary for me. I do support the idea though. Matrix should do more of that kind of marketing!
Love & Peace,

My old Piczo site seems to be gone, so no more Navajo Nation pics :(

The right decision. If you don't love it, I will eat my wfe's shoes. (I'd eat my own but she gets all the shoes around here.
