D-I College teams

Post by dreamtheatervt »

I was wondering if anyone was working on completeing the D-I teams that need to be done, or at least the BCS conference teams.

I have done Boston College and Clemson, to start completing the ACC. Here's a screen shot (hopefully):

This is a little grainy. I'll try jpeg next time. Anyways, I can upload these, but I do have a couple issues:
1) Clemson's white jerseys have white lettering. How do I correct this.
2) And Boston College's numerals are supposed to in Italics and I just couldn't get this right! Any suggestions, such as the particular numbers should be a certain width?
These two things shouldn't stop me from uploading, especially if anyone wants them.

I am working on Maryland as well.

I can help you on 1; 2 I'm not quite sure what you're asking.

The color of the lettering is determined by a file called NameColour.txt, located in the directory with the uniforms.  It consists of 3 numbers; these numbers are the RGB values of the color you want.

You can just make a simple text file yourself if you know which color you want (black for instance would be 0,0,0), but if you don't want to mess with that, you can use the ColourGen program, loated in your MaxFB directory, to make the file automatically.  It'll let you choose your color and then it makes the file.

Thanks, Breeze -

Didn't know it was that easy!

About the second question, here's a picture of what I'm asking: notice how the numbers seem to overlap into others. I was wondering when you're using Italicized(sp?) numbers do the numbers have to be spaced further apart or do they require a certain width in order to prevent the overlapping effect. I was just looking for suggestions on how to fix this.

Ah, I see now.

If you look at a U7 file that's in the game, you see how big the numbers are.  At some point between the 0 and 1, for instance, is where the 0's territory ends and the 1's territory begins.  As long as the numbers fit in their space, you won't have overlapping.

I haven't tried to use italicized numbers yet so I'm not sure where the boundaries are.  But if you slim down your numbers a bit you should be able to make it work.

I agree, Breeze, all it takes is a little patience (when I have it!). I'll try again later.
But I do have Maryland done. Here's the home and away. You may notice, that I make the socks to look like NFL uniform standards. Truth is, I just don't care for the college look in that area.

At the rate these College Uni's are being produced, I think it will be very easy too make an NCAA league.  [:)]

I noticed in your screen captures, there are no player shadows. Did you turn those off or is the game simply not rendering them? I don't see any goal post shadows either so I'm assuming you've turned them off.. but wanted to check.

DAVID tell you the truth , i `m not sure if i have turned it off or not . I`ll have to check i might have a while back because it kept saying my frame rate eas low . Not sure if i did turn it off . Basically all ive been playing it is a few mins each time i make a uniform , see how it looks in action .So i would`nt have thought twice about shadows.Hopefully start playing games this weekend , i`ll check that out .Thanks for heads up.
