COTA Released!

Post by Erik Rutins »

Hi everyone, the official press release will be going out later, but here's your heads up. Conquest of the Aegean is now live and available for sale in the store! Enjoy. [8D]

Also, FYI Boxed copy options (Physical + Digital and Physical Only) will be available about five business days from the initial release. These will cost $10 US more than the Digital Download Only price. Unfortunately, there is no "upgrade" to the physical options from the digital download only, so if you are sure you want a boxed copy, please wait for those options to show up.

Also, since we get this question a lot - all versions include searchable PDF manuals. In the case of COTA, there are five separate manuals to take you from novice player / tutorial level all the way to pro.

Regards,

- Erik

As a side note, while the store cache is clearing, you can use the handy "Buy Conquest Of The Aegean Now!" link at the bottom of the list of sub-forums to make sure you get to the right product page.

YES ! YES !

I am currently downloading [:D] [:D] [:D]

Almost 600 MB for the whole package, 19 min. to go now, 450-500K per second (even broadband isn't fast enough when you're excited :-) )

I am so happy (and Matrix and Panther will be too... yesterday I bought TOAW III and today COTA [:D])

Once it is downloaded I'll fire up it up and give my first comments in a few hours or tomorrow (fortunately I am in vacations until next Monday, damn lucky I am)

I have said it a few dozen times before over the 5 years I have played their games.
But I really hate Matrix. I am going to starve because of them taking all my money :(

Does the physical order come with a printed manual like the boxed version of HTTR I got from the store, or, will it be like WITP and just the CD with a pdf manual?

Please see the info at the top of this thread. All versions come with searchable PDF manuals (in this case five separate documents, including a full reference manual).

Well I can't buy the game tonight - but hopefully tomorrow the helpline can sort me out.

I must say it's fantastic to see CotA in the New Releases section of the forums!!  Hope everyone has a great time playing tonight.

Also hope this game sells millions and makes Arjuna rich beyond his wildest dreams!!  [:)]

There are small memory requirement screen display PDF manuals. (~50Mb)

There are also larger memory requirement print quality PDF manuals. (~200Mb)

The difference is that the images in the print PDFs are much sharper and detailed due to no compression. I am running with 512Mb RAM and find no problem playing and having the print manuals loaded in memory at the same time. Personally, I prefer the sharper images of the print manuals for screen viewing.

Guess I am going hungry till next Friday since Matrix took all my money. TOAW III yesterday and COTA today. Talk about a wicked one-two punch. Oh well, at least I will be in wargaming bliss for a long while.

Congrats to you all!!  It's 9:30pm here and I daren't buy this tonight cos I've GOT to go to work in the morning and wifey is already complaining about all the gardening I'm NOT going to be doing this weekend!!  (I suppose this also means the HTTR scenario I've been working on will be a little bit delayed - but then there's all summer)
