Reselling Question

I purchased the digital download version of TOAW. However, I now realise it is not for me. I prefer more tactical scales, such as steel panthers, close combat and combat mission. My question is, can I legally resell the game as I could if I had purchased it on CD/DVD?

Ideally, I would advertise the game on ebay, providing the buyer with a copy of the game on CD and the serial number and digital receipt. I would of course delete all copies of the game and serial number from my computer.

This is a genuine question. I realise it may look suspicious if I advertise a digital download for sale. I would appreciate any advice on how/if I can legally recoup some money from my mistake.

Ive sold a Matrix game. I handed over the game and deleted it from my harddrive. I also sent the serial number then deleted it.

The game is yours once purchased. If you then want to sell it then you can.

I have also bought a game of someone.

I can't spealk for Matrix, but legally speaking, what you have is a license to use the product and it still belongs to Matrix.

However I don't see why they should sue you for selling a game that you bought. I would burn it to a CD (as I did with mine for security), then sell the CD with the serial number on it.

You may sell it. However, if you have already registered it you should let the buyer know as each serial number can only be registered once for the Members' Club. As long as you go about it honestly, as you described, we have no problem with that.
