Feature Request: Unit ID on counter

Post by WhiteOwl »

Hi,

I would like to see, if possible, a future patch include a third counter display (in addition to strength and movement), with the ID of the unit. Say the 1st Bn of the 2nd Regiment of the 3rd division, would have 1/2/3 in the bottom "pane" of the counter.

This would make unit identification easier and also look more realistic, like a real military situation map.

Thanks,
Yair

I'd like the ability to change the font on the upper right corner where the picture of the tank or infantry units are displayed. Between the font itself ant the background depiction, I find it extremely hard to read the information.

Maybe I can remove the 3d depiction somehow to add clarity?

If neither is possible as the game currently exists, maybe this option could be added to the next patch please.

I'll second that suggestion of optionally disabling the 3D background of the unit panel. It does seem to me to be harder to read than before, of course it just could be my ageing eyesight[;)]. Anyway, it would be a good thing if it can be done.

Try
View->Options->Text Contrast->Highlight
or
View->Options->Text Contrast->Maximum.

I think that I'd seen that Larry has also posted about an alternate font too, although I can't find it at the moment.

Enjoy.

View->Options->Text Contrast->Maximum.

Thanks, that was exactly what I was looking for!

I read through the manual, but didn't see the option listed, tho I obviously missed it! [:(]

But then at least I looked before I asked the stupid question.

If you and others benefitted by asking the question and receiving the answer, then it was not a stupid question. Keep on asking questions. That's what we're here for...
