Btw, what is the best altitude for these bombers???

I'd guess the same as B17's unless there are any special rules about the B29 im not aware of.. do need a size 7 AF for normal opeations though. I'd use at 11k-15k unless heavy flak then upto 20k maybe .. might also carpet bomb at 6k feet too ( that would be nasty)

Just a thought but how is your fighter experience ? maybe use the cut off japs on the conquered atolls for fighter runs and experience. best for tyhe P38's imo .. but your so far forward of any of my games you may have great 'stock' pilots coming in ..

just my 2p

Yes. I have actually thinking of bypassing some of Japanese bases. Take Kwaleijin for example. There is 10 enemy LCU's present so It might be worthwile to take surrounding atolls and take care off that base later. The pilot experience is not that solid. Most of the new guys are well below 60's!

According to FDR CVE Hosho has 99 sys and 71 flooding damage. Even if she does not sunk at Canton it is doubtfull that ship will ever see service again.

What was CVE Hosho doing at Canton? She was refueling and taking off SYS damage from her recent ASW duties.

I will not strike at Canton next turn since B29's are now in India.

I do not know what FDR is up to but my intelligence indicates 13 enemy units at Wake Island. Previous count was 7 so he is definately reinforcing this base. It seems odd though unless he is thinking about somekind of an offense in CenPac. Anyway, that is fine by me. My CV's are still at Johnston Island and are ready to intercept any enemy ships in this vicinity.

FDR is moving troops out of Truk. There are now 47 units present.

Allied CV's are still lurking at Johnston Island and are waiting for their orders.

Some allied divisions are ordered to start preparing for invasion of Kwaleijin. It could be bloody since there are 10 enemy units garrisoning the place.

Next 3 squadrons of 4E bombers will strike at Kendari harbour! If I'am correct there is +40 ships anchored there and it would be nice if I could suprise them. Unfortunately these guys are flying without escorts since Darwin is too far away.

At least these kind of operations should keep FDR vary on what is to come in near future [;)]

Wow - those B-29s are brutal. What altitude did you decide to fly them at?

Also, how's the supply situation in China? If I read your summary right, you kept the Burma road open all game, correct?

Hi! At first I flew B29's at 15 000 feet but now they are at 20 000 feet. (At 15 000 they took too much damage)

I don't know whether I should fly even higher since I don't know how they perform at 25 000 or higher??? [&:] It seems that FDR has moved a lot of aircraft to defend the home islands and IF I sent them back would these squadrons take a beating flying +25 000 feet?

Yes. I have hold Myithkina the whole game. Japanese troops have not been able to advance further than Mandalay and if I'am correct than Burma Road has been open the whole war.

The supply situation at China is not good in no means.

I have 30 000 supplies at Chungking, Kweiyang 10 000 (It is consuming a lot since I made some ground assaults here lately which did not prevail), Yunan has 10 000 (Chinese LCU's are gathering their strenghts here too) and Chengtu has 20 000 (If I remember correctly)

Some Chinese units are actually red at the moment. By looking those levels it is not possible to think offensively at the moment here even if I would like to.

Some torpedo bombers are moved into frontline since there might be more ships around Kwaileijin. The question is he trying to reinforce or withdraw this area.

Allied CV Fleet is also heading towards Marshalls.

Allied bombers will target next turn Dili in Timor and Lunga in Solomons. Hopefully I can make some suprises in these places [;)]
