installing new CHS

Post by George Patton »

Hi guys.
I have currently the CHS vers. 4.0 (yes, I suppose 4 [:)]), now I've downloaded the new 6.1. I can simply install it over the old one and run it?
And what's up the game currently running with the old 4.0?

Be careful here,

dual install should keep your old or current games save !

Cheers

I guess you mean my map version 4 and version 6.1? They can co-exist, and you can switch between them using the ModSelect utility I provide with the map package.

Reading again you post, ....I'm a bit confused. How I have to proceed?

If you run the install script for the 6.1 map, it should recognise that you have a version 4 map installed, then give you the option of whether to delete it or not. I guess you would answer "no" to that question. Then, after the new version 6 map is installed, you can run the ModSelect utility to either load the version 4 map or the version 6 map.

That is how it is supposed to work, anyway.
