Impact of Radios

Post by dwwindsor »

Does this have an impact on orders delay at the unit level? I have noticed that radios are not listed in estabs so if it is a factor is it abstracted into scenario parameters?

If radios are not considered then I think they should be. The single greatest advancement in tactical command and control has been the introduction of viable battlefield, man portable and vehicular mounted radios.

It has been spoken of for other reasons (arty spotting) and may be an equipment type at some stage. Meanwhile scenario designers have full freedom to raise or lower a commander's and/or unit's effectiveness to give the effect you seek.
