Detail battles deployment

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Detail battles deployment

Post by ironduke1955 »

Anougther minor whinge[8|] Deployment for minor battles, sort of goes without saying in napoleonics that Artillery would not make up the advanced guard of any army of the period. So it would be nice if they were protected and at the back on the first turn. As I am finding that battles are being decided. by the quick and unrealistic destruction of my guns. A option I never seem to have, since the AI deploys more logically. Or is protected by the FOG that does not apply to the AI.
Are we like late Rome, infatuated with past glories, ruled by a complacent, greedy elite, and hopelessly powerless to respond to changing conditions?

Yes it is a pain, when it's Cav is close enough to charge, before you have a chance to move anything
