Equipment DB Editor for TOAWIII?

Post by sstevens06 »

Can anyone advise me when we can expect an equipment database editor to be available for TOAWIII (either from a 3rd party, or in a future patch/release)?

Speaking only for myself, I intend to hold off purchasing TOAWIII until such an editor becomes available. All the scenarios I've designed for ACoW, bar one, made use of custom .exe's which were created using the 3rd-party "BioEd" equipment DB editor (available at http://www.tdg.nu/download/bioed.htm). Once analogous functionality exists for TOAWIII I will buy it instantly! [:)]

Ditto. Not only a number of my own, but several of the better scenarios I've seen from other designers require a modified .exe.
"What did you read at university?"
"War Studies"
"War? Huh. What is it good for?"
"Absolutely nothing."

There is a way to add new equipment and modify text strings in TOAW 3 scenarios but it is cumbersome to do. The bio-editor tool is user-friendly by comparison.

Only the latter, to my understanding.
