"All portrets look the same these days, 'cause they're painted to a romantic ideal rather than as a true depiction of the idiosyncratic facial qualities of the person in question."

By "portrets" do you mean portraits? I'm not having a go at your English. I'm guessing it's better than my Croatian. [;)]

As it's your sig I thought you might want to get it right.

Righty ho...that's my last free English lesson. All you other bastards are going to have to have a paypal account. [:'(]

Well and we have the first team out of the Turnament... POLAND is out after loseing 1:0 in the Last minute... there are no chances of Qualifaying any further...

At least the players don't have far to go home. Especially since the whole country was moved westward. [:'(]

Actually, bad luck Poland. Not a lot went right for them in this tournament. Still, it could be worse. Losing to Germany used to result in a brutal occupation and lots of big new camps. [X(]

Those Germans didn't deserve to be that lucky...

Did you watch the game actually [&:], I mean how can you say they did not deserve to be that lucky after playing 20 minutes on one goal? Poland was dead in the water from the 65 minute on (and even more after Sobolewski was sent of the field) and the german pressure was increasing from minute to minute. Not one shot on the german goal after that, the last dangerous shot was in the 57 (!) minute.

If one was lucky then I would say Poland that they did not got more goals [;)].

Actually the polish players played 500% better then against Ecuador. Man, Smolarek scored so many goals for Borrusia Dortmund in the very same stadium, but completly failed yesterday. A great fight, using their chances was not a strenght of the polish ...

I still don't understand why Dudek was left home. I consider him one of the best keepers, not that Artur Boruc was bad at all yesterday. Some marvelous saves by him.

Yeah, I saw it, and any team that wins a game 1 - 0 on a goal scored in the 92nd minute is lucky. As you say, they were blitzing the Polish goal for the last 20 - 25 minutes, but failed to score on any one of a very large number of chances. Considering how badly they played in the first half, they didn't deserve to be that lucky.

I'd rather call it deserved then lucky [;)]

The polish keeper was absolutly stunning and like I sayed he is the guy to say "thank you" for saving what could have been a 3:0 or more.

Maybe it was the "drink and party" that was missed by the players [;)][:D]

Congrats to T&T for keeping the English off for 83 minutes. Too bad they couldn't carry it all the way home...

Another rather uninteresting game just finished. Lots of goals being scored in the dying minutes...

Damn... 6 - 0!

Not a game one should overate, Serbia Montenegro packed their stuff after the 2:0. I would have expected some more fighting spirit of them.

But some really nice goals in that game!

I know, I know... The Serbs folded like a poker player with a pair of threes, but some of the Argentinian playing was absolutely superb!

OK guys, now tell me that Matrix doesn't have a "footy" game under wraps back in the development closet?

If not, you'd better get going... you guys have serious "footy fever" and we know that such things can often be cured by a good computer simulation game. [:D][:D][:D]
Love & Peace,

My old Piczo site seems to be gone, so no more Navajo Nation pics :(

Yes indeed, some of their attacks and especially short passes were truly amazing. But still against a defense that was not there. A lot of the argentinian players saied that it was like a training match to them. Anyway. Argentinia is on my list of teams that can win the throphy.

I have this 365 days a year 24/7. It is just a little higher during the big tournaments [;)]. there is no cure other then live football and cold beer against it [:D]
