Manual not accessible

I'm having a problem with the manual as it won't open. It won't open from either the desktop menu or the shortcut in the start menu. The ingame window works fine but I can't remember if I can print from that, as I'd like to make a print version

The manual is a PDF file. You need to have the Acrobat Reader installed to be able to read it.

Sorry, forgot to mention that I have the latest version of adobe installed, that's the part I can't figure out
post script - I think it may be my adobe, I just tried to open an attachement in pdf and it said error parsing voucher, same one I got one time when I tried the manual

Actually I managed to open it from the reader through the start menu directory. now I see I don't have enough paper to print it
