Where is the 3-d map view mode?

Post by mikbro »

I want to get the game, I used to love making scenarios sooo much.
But I haven't seen any screens of the 3-d map.
Is it in this version?

Yes, it's in this version, unchanged from earlier versions. Not many players use the 3D version since it makes it more difficult to see the important information on the counters.

Jmass is working on an update to the 3D view. He's the guy that did the graphics for the 2D view, so I'm expecting great things.

I want to update the 3D view sometime to add the extra information.

If 3d mode had the counter info, I'd be there 100% of the time. :)

No, no! Don't do it! [:D]
I'm late, currently I'm working to improve 2d files (I have already upload some files in my TOAW 3 1.0 mod) and now on a more squared 2d counter's version.
I want to update the 3D view sometime to add the extra information.

I like very much have on counters also divisional tactical insignias. It would be helpful to have also an indicator of a stimate (by recons) unit size (as in PzC), i.e. a dozen of tanks, 3 thousand of men...

I was thinking of the same indicator that's above the 2d view. The little I, II, X, etc.

No hurry, I'm even later, I had hoped to add this stuff for the initial release.
