Hey Iaidoka2: TOAW 3 is the only thing I play anymore. It's the only thing that sparks my creative imagination as the symbols kinda take flesh in my mind. I see the symbol for an aircraft squadron and I think about the 16 planes that were in the 16th SOS, the squadron I flew with in 'Nam. And I see the symbol for a company of MP's and I think about my brother-in-law who was an MP in the Army, etc. It's closer to home than any other game I own. I can relate to it. Plus I like playing it....it's more realistic than any other game I've ever played bar none. I volunteered to be a beta tester just so I could get to work with it, making it even better yet.

Mrh. I should get the new version, so that we can get another game of FitE going on with this new TOAW. Unfortunately army is not giving me enough many as of now(about 100 euros a month...you try live with that). But hopefully I can get it soon, and we can get a really interesting AAR going on. :)

That's a good idea. I get the Soviet side again, okay?

You should change your day job to marketing manager for TOAWIII.

I swung by the TOAW forums on a whim, read your excellent AARs, and was hooked like a trout going after Powerbait.

Seriously, you should write a guide to writing AARs, as in a short blurb about what you use for the screenshots, movies, etc. They are really good, and give a feeling for the game that most reviews could only wish to attain.

BTW, Welcome home.

So um.....thanks for the very kind words. That'll look good on a resume. As for the screenshots, I just hold down the ALT key and hit the "Print Screen" key once and paste the resulting screenshot into MS Paint and crop it, center it, convert it to a GIF file and after I have the number of files I need for a movie I just string them together as separate frames of a movie and voila....instant movie. See this thread for how to make a movie:

For those of you who are interested in ancient history here's a link to a page that I put together with some pictures etc. of my time over in 'nam. Not much but a little something to waste some time on on a rainy day:

Hey...how do you pick up that sort of work? Apart from not being able to play the piano, I've had a lot of experience in that field. [:'(]

It's my naturally curly hair and my astonishingly good looks that got me that job:
