Player classic IMO. Just shows how it went on the day- both sides. And gives one the option to get the hell out of there on Day 2 (?). Brilliant. I know designers will have huge problems with it, but hey, as a player I loved it and it worked for me and M. Favre, merci.
Not built for PO play though. You need to find a PBEM opponent. Also upgrade it to TOAW III.
Now don't be shy, post out there and someone will always want to take one side or the other. As a new player I think you've got the right to suggest off-ladder, but not sure how many others would agree with me.
Personally I've played a fair few players ex-ladder, and I think that works both ways- experienced players can try out a side with desperate play balance against them in a particular scenario to see what went (or is) wrong and new players learn- seems a win-win scenario to me.
In this regard I'd love to see a best designers versus best players tournament using a best scenario- something like Tobruk 41 with all bells and whistles on and a few AARs. Now that is what dreams are made of...
