Thanks Bruce!  What was the AAR that they ran describing that campaign?

On a far more exciting note, when is the next scheduled launch?  Isn't it in July?

That AAR was:

Fear and Loathing in the Pacific (3x3 MPBEM)

It should be a very informative read from an intelligence gathering sort of way[:D].
For what we are about to receive, may we be truly thankful.

I'd be tempted but not sure I would like playing with someone else .. can imagine all sorts of non-coordinated stuff going on and i'm a fan of nik mod too, although stock map im happy with( maybe subchasers versuion so it looks prettier though).

It will be a good AAR read though
sorry for the spelling . English is my main language , I just can't type . and i'm too lazy to edit :)

When you get started, we want to see the first turn results. It should be enlightening.

I have not heard from our woodbe opponents.  We're locked, cocked and ready rock...

Just need some people (I mean opponents) to beat-up...

Ron,
I have read a lot of the CHS Threads and am impressed with the historical work and attempts at accuracy.  Problem is, until I have high-speed internet, the downloads times are impossible with my current ISP.  Rather depressing...am working to rectify that problem...

Are you still looking for allied opponents? I am happy to play as part of an allied team. Stock map and your rules / game ethics are fine with me.

Cheers!

Stock game.......you two are the japs..........."It just doesn't matter",4E death will seek you out. Large 200+ raids will shootdown your experienced fighter pilots in the air or smash them on the ground.
The stock game, without alot of "House rules",is simply unplayable as the japanese.

That depends on who you play against [:)]

In the early days I massed my B17s as I think most people did. But I now don't fly more than a single airgroup (64 planes max) on a single mission these days. Nor do I switch all level bombers to 4Es. Regardless of the house rules. I have my own rules on rear area forces, resource bombing, sabotarging resources, PT boat massing, ASW etc. regardless of whether these are touched by house rules.

I don't have an issue with house rules, but I think knowing your opponent's game style is similar to yours is more important in order to have a happy game. If you have house rules you usually forget to mention a few and these can then be exploited as they were not on the list. Often far better to simply say that you want a more historical game. Or not. Depending on the type of game you want to play.

It's a bit like having a ref in a casual game of football. If you have one the game gets dirtier. Players can play to the ref's whistle and therefore foul more and off the ball incidents tend to increase. With no ref everyone has to be more reasonable and play 'nice', otherwise the game breaks down quickly and / or a fight starts [:D]
