That looks like a nice little surprise for Speedy.
Edit: I wonder how long the 16k supply will last.....

This game has been very interesting. It's been an education.
How did you do the color change thing? Is it one of the mods?

For what we are about to receive, may we be truly thankful.

i think so ... i had done one mod for him that put little penguin flags in instead of the standard Japanese ones, but i think it was too small to make out the little fellas. Plus it screwed up some of the colors of the Home Island units....

More supply on its' way..........but I don't think I'll commit any more troops......ORIGINAL: Mike Solli

Never argue with an idiot, he will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

For those of you who do not frequent The Thread: Speedy's agents attempted assasination of fabertong by pushing him into the polar bear exhibit at the zoo failed after fabertong employed some of his super-sneaky penguin tricks...

RE: Bye Bye Myitk.....
September 2nd 1943.......
Some verbal sparring with Speedy in e-mail tells me his next op is near......
Still think it will be Tarawa......
Can't do a thing about it.......
I've decided to abandon Nauru Is. and send forces to Ponape....Nauru can't be held once Tarawa is gone.......
I'm still rushing forces to Mapoelap....to conduct air-raids on Tarawa....but my concern is that it may well be a waste of airgroups......but feel I need to put up some fight.....
Supply reached Tarawa....and dropped a NG unit....will pick up a Base force to move to Ponape.....I have plenty of Base forces on Tarawa, and don't want to lose them all........
Still need to decide were the fleet will fight next.....all are repairing painfully slowly.....a point of repair on av. every 7 turns on the BBs.... Kaga every 4 turns.....so still 3-4 months for the BBs and 6- 8 months for Kaga.....
Zekes have arrived....but will be at least a week before any can be deployed.....
Now all eyes look to Tarawa.......unless, of coarse, I'm wrong......

Fabertong has trained some special assasination penquins known for their masterful and cunning use of camouflage to get Speedy...

Something big on the radar.....

Well, Speedy is on his way and it is Tarawa......my recon of Baker this morning revealed a large concentration of allied ships........am pulling out all ships in the area....but leaving a few airgroups.......they will be slaughtered.......but sooner or later they will be anyway.......
I expect Speedy to Bomb the living wahoo out of Tarawa for the next week before landing..........so no repeat of Wake(sadly)......
Strap on your helmets......
Is penguin really like Chicken?
September 8th 1943........
RUN AWAY.......RUN AWAY.......or at least that is what my airgroups on Tarawa did today.......I won't contest the Tarawa invasion...by sea or air.......I couldn't bear the useless loss of pilots(unlike me, I know).....they must live to fight another day....when I can mass both air and naval power against the Allied fleet.....
I also stood down the airgroups on Malolap.....will activate them after the invasion.....in hope of hunting a few cripples....from CD guns and Mines......though I fear after the pounding Speedy is going to give Tarawa......there won't be much of a fight on land either......

Ooooh, it's gonna be a big one...

RE: Is penguin really like Chicken?
Shame the fleets still all banged up.....otherwise we could have had "Wake 2: this time it's Tarawa"

Still, Tarawa is quite well defended. No matter how much he pounds it, his troops should still have a difficult time getting ashore...

RE: Is penguin really like Chicken?
Let's hope so.....but without my fleet there to distract him......I expect he'll bombard for at least a week before going ashore.....then supply may be a big factor........
