Air Units going into re-org when selected

Post by Captain Cruft »

I am experiencing a fairly consistent problem with air units in a game.

PBEM, Operation Typhoon 1941 scenario (as shipped).

It happens regardless of whether you select the particular air unit from the map or from the list of air units (A key). The unit will be showing as e.g. Air Superiority without an orange bar. Click on it to select and it continues to show the mission as before but an orange bar appears and you cannot do anything with the unit. The text does not change to Reorganising.

I would say this is happening about 75% of the time.

A save file can be provided when I get the next turn, along with the password. Remind me where I should mail it to please?

Email it to me iamjamiam(at)yahoo(dot)com. Make sure you put "TOAW III" in the subject line, so that it doesn't get lost in the spam filters. To follow up, then PM me here, and let me know that you've sent it. Thanks.

OK thanks.

Unfortunately, I could not reproduce the problem this last turn. Which leads me to think that I might just have been experiencing user error. My carpal tunnels are still not completely at one with the unit selection mechanisms ...

I will keep an eye on it and report back if I have something concrete to show.

Remember that air units on air-superiority or combat support may be in action during your turn.
Fighters may try to intercept enemy interdiction airplanes and bombers may support one of your early ground attacks before commencing adiitional movement.
Previously tired units may then go into reorg if they are adversly affected during the turn.

..air impressions have gotta go somewhere

..Imphal again

..the US aircraft, they're getting slaughtered when attacking airfields, the British ones aren't, and this whether attacking alone (worst case 100% losses against 2 jap fighters, poorly and in re-org)or with British aircraft. The Japanese losses however look correct, i haven't tried airfield attacks with them as i can't get enough out of re-org [:(]
