Looking for people with badass monitor and high resolutions

Post by jpkoester1 »

Right guys,

we've been getting lots of requests for higher resolutions for people with monster monitors and graphic cards so they can run their beloved Harpoon 3 at insane resolutions like 2560x1800 or whatever the numbers are (I wouldn't know as my graphics card and monitor simply won't do it).

Anyways, we think we might have found a way to make your dream come true. If you own one of these nice systems that let you go to very high resolutions we are looking for your help testing out the next patch. I can't promise that we'll let everyone have a go at it and there are certain agreements you will need to adhere to. If you are interested please mail your system details (max resolution you can run at and your graphic card) to me at support@advancedgaming.biz and we'll discuss further.

Thanks everyone,
JP

I'm currently running 1920x1200, if that qualifies.

Personally, though - I think I'd be happy with 1680x1050 - I like being able to click off-screen to hit up FAS or websites during exceptionally long scenarios.

I would be happy with a 1280x800 widescreen resolution, so to use the real estate on my Vaio laptop (like I was able to do with Conquest of the Aegean).

I'm running my desktop 1600x1200, that's pretty standard so I probably wouldn't help.

Dear jpkoester1

I have a Viewsonic 27 inch LCD that I play games on, the max and preferred resolution is 1360 x 768 for most of the PC enabled LCD's.

Very important resolution :-)

Thanks

Kind Regards,

Hi there,

right now we are only looking for people with a higher than usual resolution. Thank you for your response,

JP

Whats higher then usual? 1600 X 1200, I would think anything higher then 1280 x 1024 is higher then usual.

You don't have screen resolutions options for 1600 x 1200 or 1360 x 768, why are you skipping these?

I can test at 1600 x 1200 also., I have 21 inch standard VGA monitors also.

Higher than normal is everything we can't test ourselves with our hardware :). I myself can test up to 1400x1050.

The next release will have incremental screen resolutions for RunInWindow mode which means that you will be able to set arbitrary window width and window hight. I started this thread because I remember someone posting about his huge 2400x1800 screen or something like that and we wanted the new feature tested at these high resolutions as well. Unfortunately he hasn't responded yet and I can't find the thread any more.

Cheers,
JP

That always depends on the amount of bugs we find in the various testbuilds which need to be fixed before a release can be done. From what I can tell the build we are currently testing is looking pretty good.

Sorry for the bump, but a search didn't seem to reveal anything. I was just wondering whether the game now supports those high resolutions? I'm looking into the game, but having a 22" monitor, limited resolutions can be quite annoying. Thanks.

The current 3.8.0 has the higher screen resolution capability.  The most I have done is strung a H3 window across two monitors (2600+ x 1050), that worked fine.

Good news! Can it be any custom resolution, or just some preset higher resolutions? Ideally, I'd like to get 1680x1050.

Also, does the game resolution still have to be below that of the desktop, or can it be the same?

Thanks a lot.

Also, can someone post some high resolution screenshots? I want to see how the game/interface looks then.

Howdy,

I just tested a resolution of 1780X1240 with the game and everything looked fine. The resolution is limited to just 4 or so pixels below your desktop resolution.
