but i find that he usually prefers not to reinforce friendly airfields even when he's losing and the only reinforcing units are available by airtransport only. I've tried setting formations/units on 'ignore losses' and put the first objective on the airfield in question.
2) Elmer likes to dig in units at sea (!) if the first objective is an intermediate one placed to get around coastal corners.
3) Elmer often likes to attack enemy off-map airbases out of fighter range. This is sometimes OK, but not when he loses most of his planes in one attack and then decides to make another suicidal attack the next turn and the next...
4) Elmer appears to have quite a bit less luck attacking warships at sea. I've had whole squadrons of JU88s and DO17s evaporate while bombing a 2-3 cruisers escorted by 4-5 destroyers. Is this caused by the general increase of AA effectiveness? I kind of like the change since earlier ships would sink at the drop of a hat, but it looks a bit extreme now.
5) I haven't testet it properly yet, but is the earlier screwed attacking ships in ports fixed?
In the old days land units in port would soak up any air attacks leaving the ships unscathed.
Elmer plays a much better game now, aggressive little critter
Thanks
Erik
