Hi,

I think I still have a copy of the manual (and game) - when I get home tonight I'll look. If it's there I'll see about getting it copied and then turned into a PDF file so I could email it to you.

Will that work?

B

PS - I think TF-1942 has to run on DOS

Well the graphics are most definately dated by now - look at the warships in IL-2!

But TF 1942 had different graphic settings, and turned to highest setting it wasn't bad - even better than Fighting Steel IMO (so long as you don't absolutely have to have camo!).

And, the entire Solomon Islands were rendered in 3-d, so when you were near any coastline - the land and shore was where it should be and the basic hills were where they should be too...just don't expect grass huts and palm trees![:D]

It runs under DOS only - but I think there are DOS emulators out there that will let it run....

I've been looking for my copy of this game ever since this discussion came up, but have not been able to locate it yet. I've moved several times, but I am pretty sure that I still have it in a box somewhere. I'll let you know when I can finally locate it and see about getting that manual to you.

Honest to gosh, the only "important" things I recall about the manual, were the pics of the destroyers which were needed to get past the "security screen"..(Remember those!!!!)..[:)]
