Considering the #'s of planes accumulating compared to what was there in early 43 i'd say your production is fine. [:D]. 2 AA units won't do much damage to 4E's attacking at respectible altitude. (nor armored 2E's for that matter) Preventing the typical stock 24/7 airfield bombardments @ 6000 feet does make for a more attritional and realistic game IMO. [;)] I've gained accendency over Central Burma in my game with two B-25 BG's as the primary tool. Attacking at 19k produces enough hits to make life miseable at Mandalay. Took some time and the situation is not irreversable for the Japanese player. Were it stock......24/7 @ 6000 feet, even if 300 engineers present. result = odd situation where intact airforce bases it's forces 300-400 miles behind the front lines for fear of a one-two day strike on airfields by massed 2E/4E that destroys airforce.

Nik its not about Mandalay im bombing his troops easly... well i could try to get another BG to Burma... i have few in reserve but im now thinking about all or nothing plan... Landing on Java... as most of his units defend foward bases in the Pacific or fight in Burma so not much have been left on Java... any way maybe some tips how to lunch a Amphibius assalut....[:D]

utilize the Amphibious HQ's your starting to get. PP's are your friend. Java can be tricky unless Willie's left it sparcely defended. (myself....last game as Japan....i had serious combat power defending Java....enough to give any Allied player pause. After all the SRA was the reason Japan went to war. (well that and the supply situation in Northern Oz makes the SRA drive more viable as an alternate route)

You might want to try attacking someplace where you can better utitilize air superiority. Java has the disadvantage of being near lots of Japanese airbases. Could make your life hell even if you have lots of CV's.

A small tidbit....do not stress too much on your sub results.

I'm in July 43 with the Allies in my game against Faber and my subs are on average sinking a ship or 2 a day and damaging the same amount. I won't deny that I think I do well at sub war and move my subs according to enemy reaction. It can be done though and come 43 you can see a nice improvement in results[:)]

US troops took Majuro with a landing made with Barges... now im preapering to transport some Base force and some Seebeas by sea there... Alrought i got some Corsairs and P-40's on Mili i will not risk sending in the Transports untill i will shut down Kwaelejn Airfield... i got over 200 4E Bombers but i need to weiat till Mili will become Lvl 4 Airfield... wich will happen in few Days... Willie planes from Kwaelejn sunk a coupple of low Capicity AK's delivering a Base force to Mili in the Firce Air battle i lost 50 Corsairs but shoot down over 50 Jap Fighters and Bombers... i was able to replace my losses and im weaiting for the Corsairs Replacements wich will begin in February... in a week 2 of my Carriers will recive new HellCat Fighters[:D][:D] and in the Next month last of the 3 British CV's will Recive Avengers... any way not much happening at the moment...i will rebase my ships to Tarawa to intercept Willies bombardment forces[:D] In February i will recive the new Essex class CV and 2 x CVL's so i will add another TF to my fleet...[:D][:D] when Majuro will be build up i will atak Jaluit and build another Airfield there[:D] so i could starve willie's Garrisons on Kwaelejn , Wojte and Meoljap...

Standstill here im weaiting for some new planes in the theather as i send a Mitchell BG from Australia i planing to send anothe FG to the theather... i need Air Superiority but its hard to acomplish as my fighters do not have the range... as for now i will weait till some more Brits will Fly their Liberators and in the mean time i will Mine Rangoon Harbor from Air[:D] im planning turning Myithina into a nice Fighter base so maybe then i will be able to strike willies field's in Burma....

Well all quiet here... i somethiems strike Mandalay with my bombers... and i tryed to mine Rangoon Harbor but Willie got MSW's there so its impossible to lay enough mines... any way brith Liberator IV apeared and one of the Squadrons bombed Ships off Rangoon sinking one MSW...

Well im lost here... My troops in Changsha are being bombed to pices... well i could try to stage some Lightnings on LR CAP over the base but... 1) all resource centers are destroyed , 2) supply will eventualy run out 3) the airfield in wich i will stage my planes will be bombed to pices next turn... the only supply source for china are some Dakotas from Ledo[:(][:(] so China is Lost...

Well at least some good news here... Majuro is now being supplied by Air and some more Eng units are flown in... soon i will send a Aviation Rgt by Air to Majuro after that i will send in strong fighter formations and some MSW to clear few thousend's  of  Mines leaid by Willie...  and from Majuro my B-25's will be able to reach Kwaelejn so i could start a bombing Campaign ageainst this base...

Ok this sucks Willie is Besieging Changsha and he was bombing it for like few week's daily with small nr of Fighters and 2E Army bombers... so i moved a P-40 FG when the forecast was good with hope to shoot down some Jap planes... and gues what weather was good but the Japs did not come as he would know that im setting a trap[:@][:@][:@]

Well this is totaly Depresing... Maybe some one can tell me how im goeing to win this War after such combat im out of REP planes well mostly i got 50 P-40's in the Pool from the modern US fighters ... and some Wildcat's... So i suggest that some one change the production numbers of US fighters... this is wird... i understand that in early 1942 Allies were short on fighter but come on Japs can dubble or Tripple their production with no sweet and now with this named Pilot Pool the Jap will not have to worry about his pilot losses so much... as he can replace those with Float plane pilots or something like that becous i noticed that Willie is sending Everything he has on training strikes ageainst some isolated places in the Phillipines and the DEI. As for usable Fighter units i got in Burma 2x P-40 E FG's , AVG flying P-40's B 2 FS of Lightnings  , 2 FS's of Kittyhawks and one Boomerang FS + RAF Flying Hurricnes...  in Australia a P-40 E FG  and in the Pacific 4 x Corsair FS's , P-40 E FG , P-47C FG depleted a Lightning FS depleted and 6 Wildcat Squadrons Guarding my rear bases ... the Rest of the Units fly Aircobras or Mohawks... The other Field where allies are in Disatvantage is Pilot Training most of my units were starting with like 50-55 exp and i can't treain them up anywhere as Allies do not get a out of Supply Jap base to practice on from the beggining...  the other Depresing thing is the 4E bombing of Jap bases now we have 2 AA units per base limit as in example above even with lightly defended base thetre is no chance to shut it down... ( bombing from less altidue and without Jap figheters results with something like 20 Runway hits and lost of bombers lost to FLAK )... but the main pain is the low number of Allied Fighters...  Japs can accelerate their Arrival , produce them in numbers that i will not be able to kill to the 1946... and what allies get?? Lousy 40 Warhawks per month or 20 Lightnings??? come on if the Japs can play with the production allow the allies to do it to!!!!  i got like hundreds of Kittyhawks in poll and those are P-40??? why cant i use them in US grups?? those are the same planes... or i got like 600 Mitchels in the pool come on if i would be in charge of the production i would stop their production and build some more fighters instead...

A little update as nothing exiting is happening i modified plan on attacking Gilberts here is a updated map... well i need to cut of Kwaelejn totaly so i could starve Willie... and maybe my actions will force some kind of response from his fleet:)

Last month was really quiet... time to change that in a week i will recive next Essex and 2 CVL's im changing my original plans... and im planning to do an All out Assalut on Maloelap... with 2 Divisions , 2 Eng Rgt's and a Amphib HQ... this force will be cover by the Whole PacFleet as i have no chance of shuting down Kwaelejn Airstrip i hope Massed CAP and LR cap from Majuro will be enough to minimize my losses... i just hope that Willie will send in the Combined fleet and i will be able to Clober him the only thing im weaitning now is the HMS Victorius traveling around Australia... any way i know the Base im trying to hit is heavyly mined... and i need some Advices how to minimize Mine and CD Damage?? tommorow i will send over 250 bombers to hit my Target[:D] i hope i will casue massive damage to Willie Troops... i know i will uncover my plans by sending massed bomber Raids but i don't care with 11 Fleet Cariers and some CVE i do not fear him... as i can say "The Time of Ouer Attack has come"

A quick Update... My Invasion forces were reduced to one Division as the only unit on Maeolap is a loanly base force... so i will also skip the Naval , Air Bombardment[:D] The Invasion will be commited by a Inf. Division from US it just reached Pearl the support will be 2 Eng Rgt's + Base Force and Aviation Rgt...[:D] i hope to capture the base in a single assalut so i will be able to stage my fighters there quickly[:D] i sure hope Willie will take the Bait as my fleet consists of 9 CV's 2CVL's and 4 CVE's[:D][:D][:D]

Well 283 Jap Planes Destroyed in A2A vs... 256 US Fighters... and now the funny part i do not have enough planes in the pool to cover my losses[:(] this sucks!!!!!

MAEOLAP OPERATION SUMMARY

It looks like i will not lose any of those hit CVL's they are anochered in a Port with Fires out and Floating decrasing...[:)] if Willie will not bomb them or something i will be able to save them... you can see their status on the atached jpg...
As for fleet loses i lost few AK's but this is coused by the bug with teleported my landing Base force and Aviation rgt to Palmayra and i could not stage my Fighters to the base...
i lost about 300 Planes in the Fighting but most Pilots were rescued... i think 2/3rd survived the combat... and most important i now have a base from with u will be able to attack Kwaelejn directly and with Fighter Cover...

As for Jap losses i cloubberd coupple of Iboat's and destroyed about 330 Planes in A2A combat over my CV TF... well that means 330 dead Jap pilots... unless they could swim over 240 miles back to Kwaelejn... Well if i will be able to bring back my CVL's to the Yard i will call this ops a Great Succes[:D]

Now my fleet will retire to Weast Coast for some reapairs[:D][:D][:D] and i will be weaiting for 2 new Essex class CV's and 2 another CVL's then my next target will be WAKE in the mean time i plan to capture Wojte as its now completly isolated[:D]

As it becomes all quiet in the Pacific im planning an Massive Strikes on Rangoon when the weather Clears i plan to move 120 Mitchels to Akayab and Mandalay and togheter with 4E bombers strike Rangoon Ageain...[:D][:D] i still think how to brake the stelmate in Burma but its difficoult... maybe when i will move 2 fresh Indian Divisions to Akayab i will succed in braking Willies lines[:D]

US Navy Reached San Francisco and now it undergoes small repairs... Both damaged CVL's are still afloat... Willie must be mad... he send BB's bombers and other ships to sink them but he was unable to do that... [:D] Willie Evacuated Kwaelejn and the only unit there is a BF...  so all of the Marshals are in my reach... i will use some DD's and PT's to cover my Landing's on Wojte and Kwaelejn and my Paras will capture Jaluit... this will take about a month with transporting Base forces and support units... the next target will be Empty Eintowok and all islands in Range of my LBA... in the Mean time i will mass supply and fuel on New Caledonia and E Australia... and after seting up a decoy near Marianas i will Hit Port Moresby , and Gili-Gili... Willie didn't bother to capture some bases in N NG and he has no bases there after taking Port moresby , Gili-Gili i will move on to the N NG and build some bases there i will flank Marianas bypassing Willies strong points.

I tryed to attack Rangoon ageain but lost over 80 fighters in battle so i will not bomb the base ageain... i will concentrate on bombing willie troops in Mandalay....

Sorry for such long time with no posts not much is happening... im Preapering for massive pushes as soon as my Fleet is Ready with will take a while[:D] soon Hellcats will be introduced im still moveing Supply and Fuel to my Assambly points... i Got 3 Australian Divisions ready for Boarding and 3 US divisions for my South Pac operation... i sure do hope willie is not reading this becouse he will be in a hell of a Suprise when my Landings Will commence...  Not much goeing on so i will not post anything until something interesting happens[:D]

Quick Update... due to real life issues Willie was unable to send me any turns last week any way now we are back on track... US forces landed on Kwaelejn and meet no real opposition...
