..guerilla move problem

Post by a white rabbit »

..Imphal

..guerilla unit won't move into rear hex even when converted, T8. It still won't move directly in T9, but will only go around to get there. No escarps or other reasons that i can see. It will move into hexes adjacent to enemy unit

..target hex is 30,29, units on 30,28

You're trying to move the units onto a super river hex, from a hex that does not have a direct road connection, and with no major ferry capacity in either the moving unit, or the target hex.

This is not a guerilla move problem...it is a rusty TOAW player problem...[;)]

..it's an urban hex with a bridge and road (, i've never had the problem before, i agree if it was just super river hex but it isn't, and the unit will move into 29,29, which following your arguement is also impossible..

Roads only work along the route they are on. Move to hex 29,29 first.

..maybe it's me but, how come i can move from non-road 30,28 to road/super river on 29,29 via a non-road hex-side, but not non-road to road/urban/super river via a non-road hex-side(goes thru the hex) on 30,29 ?

29,29 is a river, not a super river. Super Rivers look bigger and are a darker shade of blue.

..good lord, so it is [X(]..

..all this time and i never knew that toaw did uncrossable, invisible moats, all those wasted forts i've built defending non-road hexes around towns and bridging points on SRs ...[:(]

..ok, it's a design fault, overcome by adding roads from the bridge to each hex-side, and to think i used to spend ages taking the star shapes out...sighhhh
