Manual for the Scenario Editor

Post by evaamo2 »

Hi all, I can't seem to find the Manual/Guide for the Scenario Editor, is it scheduled to be released later and I missed the announcement or something?

No mention of any of the hotkeys available for use in the SE in the manual either.
Nothing over AGSI's site/wiki, only thing I've found is the old Harpoon II guide available over the HHQ.

Thanks for any info,

The scenario editor is coming, yes.  When?  No clue.

Very good point!  [:)]

I've looked through the manual for explanations on how to:

1) Use the Weapons Export / Import Edit command
2) Create Battleset function
3) The Scenario Batch Re-build function

If they aren't missing, can someone give me a hint where I may find them?

Enrique: There appears to be at least one new hotkey command that is yet undocumented.  It is the 'Repeat Insertion' command.  After inserting a new unit (plane, facility, ship, sub...) into a scenario, you can hit Cntl+A and then you can insert another unit like the one you just placed on the map.  It can be pretty handy.  [8D]

Thanks for the nice tip Herman...guess that's one of the benefits of being a beta tester, huh, be able to use undocumented hotkeys no one knows about (or is not supposed to know about) [;)][:D]

I would like to believe the manual was not included because of a documentation overhaul and that it will become available in the next patch (is it coming this weekend by the way?) rather than a mistake that no one noticed... I have a very good image of AGSI and Matrix, I'm sure there's a good explanation for this "little" detail.

thanks,

Well the updates to the manual and DB editor are in the works. I still think the Harpoon II Scenario Editor Manual will get you through the 'jist' of creating a Scen.  just not all of it. I hope this helps.

EDIT:

Nevermind you already tried that.... sorry

thanks for the update. are those going to be released with the next maintenance patch or stand alone as another update?

Can you give us a heads up regarding both the manual and patch's ETA? [;)]

thanks again,
