The second day the first major land combat on Saipan took place with a japanese deliberate attack, which was repulsed easily with serious jap losses.
Bad weather again prevented much air action around the Marianas. In the southern water however some more japanese TFs were spotted, I wonder what these surfaces forces are for, because their cover CVs returned to Morotai. My remaining CVE task forces made a few sporadic attacks against some Nachi class CAs and BB Fuso, without any hits. Unfortunately I have no serious surface combat ships to oppose them. My idea is that Ursa is going after the transports at Hollandia.
