How big can a scenario be?

Post by Alexander Seil »

This is more of a theoretical question (I'm not much of a scenario designer), but how big can the maps be? Is it possible to have the entire island of Crete, or at least a combined map of all landing areas?

And do the OOBs include all forces that participated in the campaign, or is something missing?

The map size is limited, see this thread

I don't think there is a limit on the number of forces, but the game is very CPU intensive and depending on your system and map size it may start to get sluggish beyond 3 divisions per side. But give it a try! [8D]

The larger scenarios do bring my notebook to a crawl if I ty to accelerate beyond 1x.  But my Athlon xp3200 only crawls beyond 2x acceleration.

Map size = 2,000 sq kms or 40 x 50kms
Total Units ( all sides ) = 400 ( allow 100 units per Div - so 3 Divs v 1 Div )

I was imagining a 20 day + plus scenario! Managed by reinforcements.

I good idea if they where ever to go for big scenarios would be a feature where you could request reinforcements from a pool. However you may not get them or all of them. Also requests could only go in at certain times. Sya when a % of your force has been destroyed.
