Good Advice...

Post by Dr. Foo »

Here is a good article for newbies:

http://www.warfarehq.com/articles/toaw_ ... toaw.shtml

I love the title:

Climbing the TOAW Learning Curve:
Ten Tips to Keep You From Becoming a PBEM Sacrificial Lamb

It is not for TOAWIII but I think most still applies.

Tip 4 seems...gamey. Can that still be done in TOAW III?

It is not gamey, nor is it a bug. It is a TOAW III feature. See the manual on page 19, section 8.2.9, second bullet.

When we redesign the turn sequence to do away with P1/P2 asymmetries, this clumsy workaround will be changed. However, we deliberately left that engine behavior in, and classified it as a feature, to rectify the detrimental effect that disallowing the action would have against P2.

Well, I stand corrected and shall use it as often as I can, then. :)

EDIT: Also, thanks for the manual reference.
