Isn't it strange that the people there are exchanging ideas, building relationships, enjoying their time surrounded by their peers, and rushing to the airrport to catch their flights instead of focusing on returning to the same ole same ole of updating these boards?  Who'd a thunk it?

Seems from the SSG forums that there is as much surprise there that Matrix hasn't released details of the new release or releases. Apparently it's up to Matrix to announce it first, and for some reason, they haven't. So, everyone expected an announcement at Origins and is now wondering what's happening. I personally have used up two months supply of Valium, and all my incontinence pads.

I must admit that I was expected some form of news or announcement coming out of Matrix at Origins about SSG's new game.  Afterall Matrix does make reference to it (SSG's Battlefront) in their own Origins Press Release.. http://www.matrixgames.com/news.asp?nid=324

Any news Matrix?  Im sure the Run5 website (http://ssg.com.au/forums) is eagerly awaiting you to make some form of announcement so that they can start to talk about it.. As I understand it Run5 dont want to steal any of Matrix's thunder by discussing it until Matrix have issued some sort of release..
Isn't that bizarre?

Yes I am waiting for it as well, their Battles in Italy is probably the best wargame I have played to date IMO.  Also their carriers at war is excellent hope they make that remake as well.
