Cherry Blossom - Allied point of View "aka" my war ageainst VonSchnitter

Post by Przemcio231 »

Well me and VonSchnitter are in the secound week of the War... playing CHS with AB's Ext Map[:)] The Following events took place to this day...

India/Burma/Malaya

Well im moveing some supply to India from Aden as now Aden is the main Commonwealth Supply base i was able to send 2 Convoys loaded with Supply to the DEI another one's are enrute... i was thinking about sendin 18th Division to Java or Singapore to boost my Defences but i droped the Idea as to Costly... In Burma Japs tryed to bomb Ships off Rangoon but 2 Squadrons of AVG + some Buffolos downed no less then 20 Oscars and Nell's with no loses to their own... i send coupple of units to Reinforce my Defences in Burma...

In Malaya Jap's recently sized Khota Bahru and Alor Setar but i think the Column that Captured Alor is the main enemy trust as it consists of 2 Division and various support units... but Today Japs are in for Suprise i staged a bombing Raid on Airfield in Alor Setar with around 100 Bombers of With about 80 are US 4E's[:D] Singapore is building up Forts and it has nearly 40K suplies with few thausend Oil and Resources to fuel up the HI there[:D]

DEI

No action here... well to bad for the Japs as i brought up a MLE from Ceylon and i mined Palambang and Northern Java Bases with obut 3K mines each i will continue this Work as long as i will be able to do it[:D] i Also evacuated A large US base force from the Phillipines[:D] Soreboja just recived first supply Convoy the main concerne here is the Lack of Troops but i can't send anything to Java right now[:(]

China

I plan to remain Passive and use China as Training ground for my fighters... some evacuated from the Phillipines are training right now[:D]

Phillipines

I plan to make my stand on Bataan but as for now i cant feel jap Presure here... there is Division marching from Lingayen to Clark and some Forces in Legaspi but i think he will move ageinst me in larger nr sooner or Leater[:D] I got few PT's around trying to sink some jap shipping but their only succes was sinking a DD some time ago... my subs around Luzon damaged few ships...

Pacific

Japs captured Wake 2 days ago... i could not help it[:(] as For Pearl Strike it didn't do much damage to my shipping[:D] now i have convys all arond... i will try to hold Midway , Johnston , Palmayra , Pago - Pago and Suva as for Canton i will try but i will not commit to much troops to the Island... Japs didn't go for Rabaul for now and that is good im reinforceing New Caledonia and PM but i need to weait till large nr of US units will be advible[:)]

Operation Line Breaker

Post by Przemcio231 »

12/24/41

DEI/Malya/Burma

Today Japanese bombardment TF's hit Mendo on Celebes and Kuching and Brunei on Borneo... this indicates that those are likely to be next Targets for Japan so Force Z sortied from Soreboja and will look for a Chance to hit enemy Ships near Kuching the Planed Air Escort are 2 AVG Squadrons . and a Buffalo Squadron all are Experienced and ready for Battle . I can't Help Brunei so it is likely the base will be lost soon... I decided to send Yorktown and Enterprise to the DEI so both Carriers are en rute and should arrive in 2 - 3 Week's Mendo will be defended by a small ABDA Raiding force from Kendari...[:)] Bad New's on Malaya Gorgetown Fell today... i got two Additional Brigades in Taiping but this may not be enough to stop Jap advance

Attacking force 55813 troops, 269 guns, 108 vehicles, Assault Value =

Tommorow 2 E bombers will Hit Singora & Khota Bahru and 4 E's from Singapore will strike Saigon and if im lucky i wll maybe be able to destroy many naval bombers on the ground so Force Z will be safe in the Battle Around Kuching[:)] If i will be able to shut down Primary taget AF... i will Force Japs to attack Malaya from Siam and this will mean less Air cover and this will also cut enemy bombing of my Ground Troops[:)]

Pilipines

Japs are bombing my lonely unit in Naga and are marching on Clark... Daily bombing of Manila Harbor and Clark Field...[:(]

You need the latest CHS basepack 2c, available at Spooky's - it corrects the art problem. Retrofitting it shouldn't be a problem (I think).

Andrew's singlehandedly put all the multiple strands of CHS 2.00+ together while being pestered with submissions and corrections from the researchers and other contributers on and off the board - 2Lt Jones of the umpteenth squadron was wearing red socks, not green, as of 440911 etc - so it's little wonder that a few's gone through the cracks. We should just be grateful that he hasn't chugged it in, really.

Two questions for you, Przemek:

You playing with PDU ON, right?

How does CHS compare to stock, IYO?
Where's the Any key?

Well how to compare this to stock... i never actualy played stock just NIK mode with is similiar to stock... Well CHS is better then Stock more detailed OOB and stuff , changed production rates... i really like added AS and MLE in India some additional ships and Planes[:)] Allies now need to be carefoul with thos RAF buffalos as you have only 50 for 6 months of combat... the same or even less with Dutch AC's and P-40'sB[:D]

If you've installed the basepack into the CHS art folder only, you need to either run Andrew ModSelect program again. This loads the CHS art into the art main folder, which is the one actually used in the game. You can also do it manually, but it's probably easier just to use the selector program. If you've already done this, uhm, well, then I'll have to refer you to Andrew.
Where's the Any key?

Please send me a list of ships with pink backgrounds and I will take a look at them. Luckily ship art is something that can be fixed and applied to games in progress, as opposed to scenario updates which cannot.
