Request for add/delete "location name" event

Post by *Lava* »

Hi!

Sure would be nice if we could get a couple new events: add location name and delete location name.

With this event we could rename countries/cities or identify new critical points on the map (a new supply hex for example).

I know it would be a bit difficult because the location name is limited to 24 characters, unlike the "news" which has far more.

Nevertheless, I could certainly use it on the scenario I am presently working on.

Sometimes you can try to use an (almost) empty, fixed unit to show such important location.
Ralph - please, give my the composite units!

Well..

Here is a better example.

I set "exclusion zone 1." I'd like to be able to place on a couple hexes Exclusion Zone 1. When the exclusion zone disappears, I would like to take the text off the map at the same time.

It's all about having tools to make things more transparent... easier for the casual gamer. To be able to put up notes or hints on the map and take them away at certain times.

But, if you all want to keep it a geek game...

Fine
