Post Install Problem.....

Hi Team - I hope someone out there can help.

Having played Harpoon since the very early days, I purchased H3ANW last night and installed in on my brand new Dell Precision M90 notebook running XP. Plenty of RAM and processor speed.......

However, after what seemed to be a successful install, I cannot get the software to run...

The symptoms are:

1: The Harpoon3 DOS window comes up and says the serial number validation was successful

2: a second window comes up that on occasion looks to have the Harpoon game startup windows and text in it. On other occasions only the window border comes up.

3: even if the harpoon start up presentation looks OK in the second window, I cannot get the mouse to track inside that window...

So far I have -
a) downloaded the latest directx kit from Microsoft
b) tried running inside the window and full screen
c) changed the game resolution
d) changed the machines resolution.......
e) changed the machine colours to be 256....

Very frustrating !!!!!

Just for fun - I loaded the game on a second Win2000 desktop pc. Same problems - after the same attempts to fix.....

Any ideas.....
