SitReps

Is there any way to disable the generation of SitReps? I do not read them, need them, or find them the least bit interesting. When I need to send a PBEM turn I find them clogging up my save folder and I have to go in a delete them every few turns.

I am sure for the more hardcore gamers they are a dream come true, but for me they are clutter. Is there any way to turn them off.

In the advanced game options you can turn off sitreps, movies etc

Do I have to turn Sitreps off every time I load a new PBEM turn? I turn off sitreps play my turn send if off get a turn back play it and then there they are again, do both players need to have them off so I will not get them?

I believe that is correct, both players have to turn it off during their turn so that it stays turned off for the entire game.
