I think that it is simply a case that sumfink has stuffed up

On this side of the Pacific Pond "stuffed up" means that you just cant breathe too well. It seems that in Australia its a somewhat more serious matter. [:D]

The beta product I am managing is three weeks away from being shipped, with about two weeks of work left to do, but the entire team just got pulled to work on another crisis. [8|]

At this point I'm going to be heading to a conference and present a really pretty presentation on a product that doesn't really exist yet. [:@]

Ah, vaporware...
Yeah well...this is B$^l S%&t!!!

Wonder if I can learn a high level programming language in a week...hmmm

I was just at the mall, went into EBX (a gaming store) just for fun. They had a PC game there called "Game Tycoon" or somesuch. It features cartoon graphics and strange characters. I was immediately reminded of Matrix....and Niceguy's life, it seems. [;)]

Well, pulling software out o my #@$ is just about the only way to get this project done on time now. But since my colon doesn't know how to write code there isn't much chance of that!

But talking about shooting ourselves in the foot...and in the knee caps...we will be relying heavily on a partner to help us introduce and market our software - its a long story. This partner is having a rather large conference in just a couple of weeks...so far we have almost nothing 100% done. I fear we will become known as the company that almost finishes its projects on time. [:(]

Good luck Niceguy.

Robert, how goes the water line?

Welcome back Speedy! Good luck with the new job.

Well, i got home early - i am about to go off to Lowe's to get some supplies to try to make a temporary repairs. We are trying to get plumbers in to look at the pipe but no go so far. Apparently this is a big problem in the area, and my wife's friends just had to have this done at their house, and she is supposed to relay us the info... still waiting on this as well.

The county water company in coming to put in an accumulator/regulator. This should help, as the water pressure is above the allowed maximum (actually just below the test pressure for the type of pipe (when new) that we already have.)
