How to see Range Circles?

Post by XLegion »

With Harpoon Classic edition it was very easy to see the "range circles" for all of my platforms regarding Missile Range, Sonar Range etc...Where are these in Harpoon Advanced Naval Warfare?

I have seen them appear but I don't understand the pattern and how they get there. I want them on my screen most of the time but 95% of the time they are not. How do I get them on?

Also one irritant I find is the very slow rate to close a window. Particularly after observing a platform photo or data, can something be done to speed this up?

The Range Circles are only displayed for individual units (not groups).

1) Select the map where you want the Range Circles to appear.
2) Use [F8] and select the range circles you want to see.
3) Ensure that NumLock is toggled OFF.
4) Hit the '9' HotKey.  This switches the map between "Group" and "Unit" display.

If you want them on the map 95% of the time, either run your main map in Unit Display mode, or, you can just set up a second map to mirror your first one and switch between them.  One runs in Group Display mode and the other in Unit Display mode.
