Train 'em up (at least over 60)
Rest 'em (keep fatigue down and supplies out of the Red
Rotate 'em (pull them out of forward bases periodically and keep operational losses down)

most important - make sure that your air group leaders have good inspiration - the higher is inspiration the faster will morale raise.

errr.... sorry but i don't recall... i didn't touch UV for year and half - since i got WiTP.

In Witp you can do it, but now that you mentioned i'm not sure that this is possible in UV...
