Am I doing something wrong?

Post by staaby30 »

I want to do a straight historical recreation starting in 1903. I want players to be added to their real historical teams each year when they come into the league. I am in the "Real Major League Player Career" mode. Is this right? Because when it rolls over to the next year, none of the players seem to be put on their real teams. For example, Ty Cobb came in in 1905 and was an in-season signing by the Chicago White Sox on April 13 of that year. Do all players by default come in as free agents or are they randomly assigned to a team?

Am I even using the right mode or should I be in another mode to do this.

Thanks for any help,

Craig

All players enter the league via the amateur draft, so they don't go to their real teams.  If you select "Affinity Mode" they are more likely to be drafted by their real team.

Correct, "Affinity Mode" is the way to go for you.
