Could someone please clarify these odd caliber sizes in British guns

I mean these cryptic 4, 6 ,17 and 25lb markings. I guess these stand for the weight of the projectile but what are the calibers in millimeters?

had'nt seen refrence to a 'four pounder' but at a guess i'd say it would be around a 45mm
