Finally got my H3:ANW CD-Rom but......

Post by liuzg150181 »

......it was scratched~~~!!! [:@]
The cd-rom was unsecured from the DVD-case holder(dunno what it is really called, but you got the drift),and i believe the scratch was being done due to it.
While i believe that the cd-rom is functional and i had already downloaded the game,it is pretty heartaching to see one's fav game in this state, anyway i could ask for a replacement?

PS:Sorry for double-posting here and @ harpoon sub-forum,i dunno which sub-forum i should raise my concern to and thus i double-posted,feel free to delete my extra thread if appopriate.

Yes, if the CD is damaged we will replace it, please e-mail support@matrixgames.com. These are shipped secured but it sounds like this one had a rough journey.

Thx for the reply, dont be mistaken,i am not putting the blames on Matrix games or anything as such, honestly a more probable suspect in my mind would be the local post office or the postman handling it.
Anyway i noticed that it is being shippinh from UK,is there a closer source to Singapore such as Australia?

Sorry, nope - the two warehouses are US and UK. UK is the best option for Singapore as far as shipping costs, unfortunately you are about as far from our distribution centers as possible.

Hmmm......I'd like to know how much would it cost for US shipping?
And if i infer correctly US warehouse is nearer but more costly for shipping?

I talked with Chris of NWS on this sort of matter. He and I both are in agreement, jewel cases mostly, but even dvd cases, are damagable.

I've seen it done, and so has he. It happens.

He as do I, basically believe a disc is safer mailed inside a card stock sleeve. Even a paper sleeve is probably safer.
I might suggest to Matrix Games, they ship the disc in a card stock sleeve outside of the dvd case, where any small pieces that CAN break off the casing can't reach the disc.

Just an idea.

This happens so seldom that the increased costs for the extra packaging and (most importantly) handling would be higher then reshipping the one or other replacement [;)].

Actually the DR packaging is pretty good compared to other product shipments I have received.

I send 1000 items a month approx by UK Royal Mail and it's a bloody disgrace - post offices more interested in selling house insurance and credit cards instead of STAMPS!!! Sir Rowland Hill is Turning I am sure.....GRRRR

Hope you don't mean mine Marc! [:D]

Essentially this is probably the logical response.
I guess it matters more if the item mailed is more unique.
