British Aircraft Upgrades

Post by DaveCA »

I am playing a CHS game against the UI and I have noticed that everytime I try to upgrade a British airgroup it says that I can't until May of 42. Is this a bug or is it working as intended?

Thanks

Working as intended. Brit units can't upgrade until May '42. (Also, Dutch units can't upgrade until July '42.)

Btw. does anyone know why Dutch air units can't upgrade till that time? I searched the net several times for several hours and frankly can't find any info about any later improvements or history of the Dutch air force from that time except this

Lack of available aircraft; same reason as for the British...

Because if they could upgrade, they might be able to put up a decent fight. Can't have that, the Japanese might actually lose a few men. [:-]

Bah, you get your time soon enough when the only things falling are bits of Japanese aircraft and their pilots.

No one involved in a PBEM "game" ever actually plays the game. They spend all their time "waiting for a turn". The only people who actually play the game are the ones playing against the AI. They actually play multiple turns per day even. [:'(]

There was that one time on a cold a snowy day when I had nothing better to do and SO mk1 was out of town when I cranked out about a month worth of turns in one day while drinking tea and reading a good scifi book during turn resolution. [:)]

Yeah, that is why I'm sad[:(] since the Dutch Airforce could be more leathal if upgraded in time, despite the low morale.
