Shaun - Playing my first game with 1.25 and it's looking good so far. The ball flight distances are MUCH improved. I'll still keep my eye out for anything odd.
With regards to the addition of in game stat keeping, it's also found it's way into the PbP as you can see in the image I attached. Unfortunately, in the PbP the 2B, 3B, BB, K and HR are not bolded, so it's not as easy to read. Maybe there should just be a space between the 1 and the 2B in the example below?
Ok, a few more innings into the game and I'm seeing some fly ball distances that are a bit off. I'm using the 2006 Petco Park that I have as part of the archive on my website. In this last example I had a hit to (7D), which in my park, is located at the warning track where the wall is 350'. The text read that the ball traveled 313'. That was followed by a fly out to (7) which was 308', much better. The a fly out to (78) that was 303', again good. So far, the only issues I have seen are with hits to the Deep locations.
Had a fly out to Deep Center (8D) that was 345', but the wall is 396' at that part of the park.
I'm beginning to think that maybe I am not putting my Deep locations in the right place. Shaun, do you agree that the warning track is too deep for these hits? It really looks that way... If I pull all of the (D) locations in, however, I don't think we'll ever "see" any hits that make it to the area near the warning track, correct?
It would be super cool if you could take my Petco Park and modify it to how it would work best with the game, then send it to me to use as a guide so I could re-do all of the park on my website.
Thanks to a great day from my 3B Garcia, I uncovered a graphical problem with the new lineup feature. See below, looks like there was room to spare on the left so I'm not sure it needed to put the RBI's on the next line down.
I'd also like to suggest trying to add a small space between the number and the stat, as it's not looking as clean as it could.
You know, the more I look at the lineup card and problems caused by trying to show hits, doubles, triples,HRs,Walks,K's & RBI's, the more I think it would be better to get rid of doubles and triples. You could also save some space by using a slash "/" intead of a dash "-" for hits, couldn't you? Here's my attempt at a before and after. I think the commas may help readability, and maybe you wouldn't need to bold the stats this way?
the more I think it would be better to get rid of doubles and triples.
I like being able to tell which opposing player is getting extra base hits, because I can't always remember late in the game who hit what. Prior to this patch I would occasionally chart which player had extra base hits. I am very happy to have the game do this for me now. [:)]
One item that has not been mentioned- Still getting some "0" distances.
Flyout distances are greatly improved as has been mentioned above. In only one instance was there an obvious error in the 2 games played thus far. Using Yankee stadium from PadresFan104 web sit and ball was it to deep right and was caught. The reported distance was actually deeper than the wall at that point. Could be a problem caused by the limited number of referance points allowed.
I really like the new feature allowing the 4 differant choices in the in game line up screen.
I just experienced my first 2 crashes in consecutive order since installing the latest patch (v1.25). I have never had a crash previously. Both times the crash occurred in extra innings of the same game (5th game of my season).
