Who the hell is this guy?

Post by crsutton »

CDR Chaplin of the DD Vivacious. Leadership rating 95, inspiration 6! (Yes, I said 6!) He is rated brilliant but extrememly cautious. I am guessing that he is a naval genius who suffers from bi-polar disorder. The biggest problem is getting him out of bed in the morning. [&:]

What is the benefit of a leader such as this? Drawbacks?

Talk to the marketing department. When the game was being created, Tanker let forum denizens select ships they'd like to command, and what their command ratings should be. The CO of the Vivacious has always been a little on the weird side, and I forget exactly which forum member he is, but he asked for that rating himself.

If a certain commander is too weird... just change that in the editor ^_^ Personally I randomized every single command...

Careful about randomizing every command, sometimes you'll get a WO (usually if the ship is set to arrive outside the scenario date).

No, I am OK with it. In real life, there were a lot of Captain Queegs out there on warships. I am just wondering what kind of effect a commander such as this would have on a battle?

I captain a CA out there somewhere and found it fun to get to do that. I did not know that I could stipulate the leadership/inspiration levels as well. I myself think that a rating of somewhere in the 90/90 range would have been suitable for an officer of my caliber. [8D] OMG, when is the next patch coming out?

LOL

I think you needed a post count of 1000 to pick your inspiration, and 5000 for leadership
